Full Continuum of Care

The Center for Professional Recovery offers a full continuum of care that includes the following:

• Contingency planning and Aftercare

Addiction treatment is not a snapshot, but a process; one that requires a series of steps to complete successfully. Some centers approach this process with a fail-up approach, which means beginning treatment at the lowest level of care and then stepping up the process until the optimal level is discovered. Our goal is to start the process at the level of care that has been shown through clinical evidence to be most useful to create the most successful program for our patients.

Licensed Providers

Our team consists of licensed providers with expertise in treating professionals with a variety of factors that might contribute to their addiction. Because the team at Center for Professional Recovery understands they cannot be experts in every aspect of addiction, we work with licensed individuals and programs in the area that can pinpoint additional treatment some of our patients might need to achieve a successful recovery. Our partners in the community assist in treating patients struggling with chronic pain, gambling addictions, eating disorders and sex addictions, so we can genuinely tailor our programs to meet the needs of our patients.

Within our team, we have therapists that are CSAT certified to work with a patient on issues involving sexual and boundary addiction and certified in working with the LGBTQ population. Licensed marriage and family therapists are also on staff to address couples and the family unit as well as the individual. Some of our professionals work with specialized treatment modalities such as attachment theory, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and somatic experiencing.

Partnership with UCLA Pain Management and Center for Healthy Sex

The Center for Professional Recovery has partnerships with both the UCLA Comprehensive Pain Center and the Center for Healthy Sex to provide our patients with additional support in these areas when necessary. The UCLA Comprehensive Pain Center offers evaluations, diagnostics and multi-modality treatment for chronic and acute pain conditions. Their team of experts works collaboratively with our treatment team to jointly treat our patients by reducing the need for opiate medications as a primary means of pain management, and in improving their overall health.

The Center for Healthy Sex brings more than a decade of experience to their treatment programs, helping individuals of all sexual orientations and preferences find healthier, more meaningful intimate relationships. Treatment options address pornography addiction, sexual dysfunction, and sexual addiction.

Healing Hands/Family Program

Research has indicated that family participation is crucial for substance abuse and mental health treatment. Our program encompasses educational and experiential learning surrounding addiction, its impact on the family, and how treatment, recovery, and healing can be successful in your family. The two-day program includes the following elements:

• Family Addiction Informational Sessions
• Multi-Family and Process Groups
• Effective Communication Skills Workshop
• Psycho-education Including Characteristics of Co-Dependency
• Experiential Group Therapy
• Individual Family Therapy Sessions

The program is facilitated by Dr. Matthew Goldenberg, D.O, Associate Medical Director & Lead Psychiatrist for the Center for Professional Recovery, in conjunction with our family therapists. We sincerely look forward to working with you and your loved ones.

Joint Commission Accreditation

One of the best credentials we can offer our patients at the Center for Professional Recovery is accreditation by the Joint Commission. The Joint Commission is a non-profit organization that certifies and accredits thousands of healthcare facilities across the country. This credential is widely recognized as the upper echelon of quality in healthcare recognition, giving patients and patients peace-of-mind in knowing the center they choose is committed to the highest standards in patient care and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Strength of Our Clinical Team

Our team of professional experts comes together to look deeply into all aspects of every patient we treat so that we can take a holistic approach to the process. We don’t label our patients as addicts; instead, we come from the mindset that our patients are experiencing a hiccup in their life that is preventing them from moving forward.
