It can be difficult for the professional population to find addiction treatment that serves their precise needs, both on a personal and career level. The Center for Professional Recovery is specially designed for individuals in high-pressure careers that can be particularly vulnerable to the destructive nature of addiction. We offer state-of-the-art treatment for both substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders for licensed
and non-licensed professionals in fields such as healthcare, aviation, legal and other demanding industries. Our program stands apart from others claiming to serve the professional population because we do not host a track for professionals within a general population facility. Our facility and staff exclusively serve the professional community and their unique needs, providing consistency within our milieu.
The Center for Professional Recovery is proud to display the gold seal of accreditation by the Joint Commission. This credential lets potential patients know we make their treatment our top priority, offering the highest standards of care and safety as well as state-of-the-art therapies with proven efficacy. This accreditation is voluntary and affords our patients and their families peace-of-mind in knowing their well-being and recovery is our central focus.
We understand the stresses inclusive of working in high-pressure careers. Stress-filled and safety-sensitive roles have personally impacted many members of our clinical team and staff. Therefore, we understand the devastating effects addiction can have on the professional population, including guilt, shame, and possible damage to one’s professional reputation. It can be difficult for individuals in these situations to cope with these issues, find appropriate treatment, and safely transition back to their lives and professions.
At Center for Professional Recovery, our distinct personal experiences and years of clinical experience allow us to fully understand the needs of our patients and the importance of working through issues with peers that have similar struggles. Our programs were created to help patients not only find a healthy recovery path but also to prepare them for a safe and productive return to their professions.
Gregory Skipper MD, Medical Director at the Center for Professional Recovery, has more than 30 years of experience in treating professionals in recovery. He, along with our team of experts, will customize treatment plans to meet the precise needs of each patient we serve, ensuring our patients have all of the tools necessary for long-lasting sobriety.
Because a detailed evaluation process is essential for a successful treatment program, we have designed in-depth Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations (CDEs) that serve a variety of purposes. These evaluations provide an accurate diagnosis and surface the patient’s current struggles to be addressed in treatment. For example, an assessment may reveal a co-occurring disorder that may be contributing to the addiction or the results can be used to answer questions asked by stakeholders of the patient. All evaluations and information collected will be held in utmost confidentiality and will only be shared with the consent of the patient to entities involved in the patient’s care.
Because addiction treatment must be customized to each patient’s unique needs to be successful, the Center for Professional Recovery offers a wide range of evidence-based treatment options to incorporate into the patient’s comprehensive treatment plan. Treatment might include a variety of behavioral therapies, holistic modalities, and medical management to help our patients’ receive safe and effective treatment. Our full continuum of care also ensures patients will receive the full support and professional treatment necessary, starting with the initial assessment and ending with contingency and aftercare planning. The high staff-to-patient ratio provides our patients with the personalized attention required to focus on their treatment and recovery plan.
